Paganini 24 caprices live in one concert (without interval)!

First performance in the world played live in one concert (without interval)! Paganini's 24 Caprices performed by Nikolay Madoyan.

Paganini Six Violin Concertos Played in One Evening

The fact that Nikolay had requested to play one concert and all of Paganini's 6 concerto's without sheet music was enough for it to become one of the most talked about sensations in the music world. Of course, Madoyan didn't have time to think about this himself, but no one had a doubt that this would become a singular and unique event in musical history.

To put it lightly, Paganini's concertos are filled with difficulty and unusual techniques and to perform all 6 concertos in one without notes is a very responsible feat. The impression of the performance is hard to put into words, says Karen Durgaryan. Vardan Tovmasyan joked by saying that in the sport world, one would say Madoyan is in spectacular shape.

Whichever composers music Nikolay Madoyan performs, people commonly perceive him as a co-writer. But the way in which he performed last night, musicians consider it to be crazy.

Madoyan performs very complicated violin repertoire only a little number of violinists can selectively manage   in one concert : Beethoven’s 10 Sonatas for Violin and Piano (played in three evenings in sequence), Paganini’s 24 Caprices (played without interruption), Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin (played in one evening), Six Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord (played in one evening), Paganini all Six Concertos (played in one evening),  Mozart all Five Concertos (played in one evening), Ysaye’s Six Sonatas (played in one evening) to name a few. He played all these compositions live by memory.

His discography contains more than 30 CDs.
